Audi Q7 Pickup

(Source: GT Spirit)

Love’em or hate’em pickup truck conversions are becoming more popular in the euro community. Now, the Audi Q7 has joined the ranks of cars hacked, slashed and welded back into an Americanized euro auto. While some call such a transformation blasphemy, I believe this Q7 pickup is an awesome project. I can’t imagine how daunting it must be to chop-up a $50,000 car, totally reshape it, and hope everything will be okay in the end. The guys responsible for this job should be proud. They produced a clean car that looks like it could be sitting in an Audi show room. Not to mention this means there is one less F-150 on the road. (Ed. LOL)

24 Hours of Nurburgring 2011

What’s better than being track-side during one of racing’s most enduring races besides being one of the drivers? Being able to watch the multitude of perspectives uploaded to ‘The Network’ covering the 24 Hours of Nurburgring. This is where the engineering of these mechanical wonders and the perseverance of the spirit of racing is put to the test. One lap around is over 15 miles and with an entry list of over 200 cars, there is definitely no shortage of action.

HBTV: Depth of Speed – The Bond

HBTV has done a sweet video about a BMW 2002 owner who has a very special connection to his car. Perfectly restored, this guy uses the 2002 as his daily driver, a feat that not many can claim. Having been a fan of this car since a child, the passion this owner shows can be seen all throughout HBTV’s Depth of Speed The Bond.

The likely hood of you taking a joy ride through either of these scenarios is highly unlikely, but it’s peace of mind to know that you can in your brand new all-wheel drive Ferrari? Thought I’d never use “all-wheel drive” and “Ferrari” in the same sentence. Anyways, check out Ferrari’s newest shooting brake run the gamut of all climate situations. lol.

A UK Classic Bentley Motors Extravaganza

With a lineage like that, it’s no wonder why Bentleys are highly sought after cars. Here in Miami, they’re so dime-a-dozen, you start to become callous to the meticulously crafted designs of the current Bentley. Let this video refocus your eye-for-detail so you may once again appreciate Bentley’s efforts.

Volvo Performance Line?

(Source: Autoblog)

Hear Volvo and you generally think of safety, seat belts and station wagons, but pretty soon speed may be added to that list. Polestar, the branch of Volvo responsible for their Scandinavian and World Touring cars are now taking a larger role in the company. Starting with a new 400 hp race inspired all-wheel drive C30, cars designed by Polestar will wear a PCP badge. This will stand for “Performance Concept Prototype” just like BMW’s M and Mercedes AMG brands. I do think they should work on the name a bit or be prepared for lots of narcotic based analogies. With that said, in a time where most automakers are cutting back on their performance lines it’s exciting to see Volvo start up something new.

Making of an Aventador

Here is a first hand look at how the Aventador was created from start to finish. It’s amazing to see the amount of precision, technology and manual labor that goes into the creation of Lamborghini’s newest monster, but that’s why they’re the best.
