G-Power Hurricane RR M5

G-Power has really out done themselves this time with their G-Power Hurrincane RR M5; The “World’s Fastest Sedan”.  Recently, the Hurricane RR surpassed 372km/h equating to roughly 231mph.  The high revving v10 makes 800hp with the help of 2 superchargers and a good deal of meticulous engine work. Accomplishing 231 mph in a big full-size sedan is no easy task but G-Power has made it happen.  Their 800hp RR kit is, unfortunately, not available to the public; However, their RS kit capable of 750hp is…  Just bring a check for ~$71,000. Aero kit and the tires required to withstand those high speeds, not included in price.

Pagani “Needs” the Nürburgring

In this video documentary produced by Pagani, they speak of how the Ring is crucial to developing and testing their cars.  The track tests the very limits of any car due to the high speeds endured throughout the track.  Pagani’s Zonda R did the Nürburgring in what seemed an effortless 6:47, who knows what they could manage if they actually tried.

BBC Says NO to Stig’s Memoirs

UKPA and ESPN are reporting that the Stig’s Memoirs can not be published due to the BBC and their confidentiality agreement with the Stig.  The Stig says he wants to share his life story with the world. One wonders if it’s real, revealing the true identity of The Stig or just another Top Gear publicity stunt.  Knowing the guys of Top Gear, it would be a parody of Memoirs that would do no harm to anyone.  If the memoirs are indeed published, I know it would sell just as fast as he drives.

Phaeton U.S. Bound…Again

Volkswagen is considering bringing back the Phaeton Stateside again with hopes of getting the name out there.  Rarely do you see a Phaeton, you always see its Audi brethren A8.  VW is a well renowned brand, but they are not known for an $85,000 sedan.  It will be different than what is offered in the Asia and European markets with different engine and interior options, so it might take off. Only time will tell.

New Lancia Stratos

After all the pictures and rumors of the new Lancia Stratos, we have some solid news regarding the one off Stratos.  A one off car was made for a wealthy entrepreneur by Pininfarina, the original creator of the Lancia Stratos.  The car utilizes the Ferrrari 430 Scuderia chassis and the same 4.3 V8 producing 503bhp.  Weighing in roughly at 2700lbs, this Stratos will be much faster than its predecessor that produced a mere 190bhp and weighed in a little over 2000lbs.  The Stratos has grown-up motor wise, and the exterior is a tribute to the old Lancia Stratos.  Now here is the best part; This one off is no longer going to be one off, it will be a VERY limited production with only 25 being made.  Make sure you have some deep pockets or you will only be able to see one in pictures.
