Motor Trend had the luxury of comparing these two super cars.  Sadly it wasn’t a comparison involving the new 1200 hp Veyron Super Sport, but still, 1001hp against the Lamborghini’s 660hp is still reputable.  Both cars alone are unique and can take on pretty much anything on the road, but put them side by side and all bets are off.  They say that the Veyron is smooth and has a tight suspension with responsive steering, more so than the SV oddly enough.  Bugatti really outdid themselves because this “luxury sedan” as it turns out is leagues faster than the Lambo, easily walking on the bull.  It would simply have been just a privilege to witness this power play…  Who am I kidding, give me the keys!

Every car enthusiast out there has their dream garage but few of us actually can or do make it a reality.  One Audi enthusiasts has made it happen.  Let the pictures do the talking for this beautiful garage.

Come October, Porsche will have a new CEO, Matthias Mueller.  When he becomes Porsche AG’s CEO, his task will not be easy because Porsche is trying to increase their sales numbers in the entry level segment.  They want to boost numbers from 100,000 to 150,000 by 2013.  Currently they have 4 entry level models which are based off the Cayman and the Boxster, but rumors abound that they may have an even more entry level car. It would sit below the Boxster and/or may be a small SUV similar to Volkswagen’s Tiguan.  The die hard Porsche enthusiasts do not want to see another entry level Porsche but people that want to own a Porsche would love to see something more affordable with the Porsche name.  No matter what it might be, wait to see some new things coming from Porsche to raise their sales numbers.

This might sound as strange to you as much as it does to me, but if you have a Frozen Gray E92 M3, DO NOT wax your car.  If you wax the car, BMW is saying that it will ruin the finish of the paint.  It is so unique that waxing it will give the car a glossy surface and take away from the overall shine.  BMW makes you even sign off that they are not responsible for any negligence towards the paint.  Have fun you Frozen Gray guys.

Every super car manufacturer has a distinct design that makes their cars unique and distinguishable from the rest.  What Auto Veloce, a Japanese tuner, did was incorporate Lamborghini’s design on a Ferrari F430.  This F430 is very unique and could catch anyone off guard and make them take a double look.

Fiat North America has made a special announcement at the Fiat-Lancia club meet in North Carolina.  Before the new Fiat 500 debuts there will be a special edition launched first.  This “Prima Edizione” as Fiat is calling it will be a limited edition with only 500 made.  Each car will be numbered and only a sport manual transmission will be offered. You can have any color you want as long as it’s red, white or gray.  Who got the first dibs?  Members of the Fiat-Lancia club at the meet did. They got first chance to put down deposits and choose colors that they would like to have.  Pretty cool move from Fiat North America.  Hope to see them out later this year.

Recently at the Eurosatory Defense Expo in France, Mercedes-Benz debuted a military grade G-Wagon.  This Mercedes is no joke, especially the name; the Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon Light Armoured Patrol Vehicle 6.X CONCEPT.  The name should give you an idea of what this Benz entails, a powerful diesel motor that can achieve up to 100 miles-per-hour and do that with up to 1.3 tons of cargo.  A short wheel base, adjustable shock absorbers and 17 inches of ground clearance enable this vehicle to conquer almost any terrain.  The armor plating surrounding the vehicle and the under carriage provides safety against small mines or other types of ammunition.  When these parts are damaged, they can be easily interchange for a quick turn around.  Interesting to see that Mercedes can come out with something so creative, but it is yet to be seen if this will be better than the Hummer?

If you have ever watched the Dakar Rally then you will know that Volkswagen is not one to look over; They have won the past two Dakar rallies with their TDI Touareg.  Volkswagen is the only manufacture to win with Diesel technology and is looking for a hat trick in the 2011 Dakar Rally in South America.  The Race Touareg 3 is not a completely new design but is more of a face lift;  the basic 300 horsepower TDI motor will still be used along with the suspension and chassis.  Changes will be focused on the outer shell of the vehicle.  Anything that Volkswagen can get to optimized their Touareg will help because this year the course is more grueling and technical with faster deserts, higher altitudes and more twisty mountain passes.  Look forward to seeing the new Race Touareg debut in August.
