Limited Edition Porsche 911 Sport Classic

oooh, ahhh… The Porsche 911 Sport Classic. This is what happens when Porsche designers go retro. With only 250 units made and all of them being sold, here in the U.S., we are pretty much out of gas. Ok tuners, get to work!

Simply Clean, Super Cold

SimplyClean_001

Simply Clean was Simply Cold. The Rezmoto crew strapped on every last sweatshirt and jacket we owned to attend this event in early January, 2010. What better than a grouping of some clean euro-auto’s to kick off the New Year? Plus, who can turn down an invitation that declares, ‘No Fast & Furious style vehicles’.   Everything from a few Fast & Furious whips to some old school euro-autos were in attendance. In conjunction with DeepVision.net, the event was meant to describe a new movement in the Florida euro-auto scene. ‘Quality cars with enthusiats that appreciate the clean execution of Simply Clean cars.’ Cold as it was we still managed to tough it out for a few hours. Some great examples of what Orlando, FL and what the surrounding area has to offer.

Nineties all-star RX7

RezmotoHolidayCruz_001

When the Rezmoto crew put together a last minute holiday cruise, we had no idea we would get such a wide range of sick cars. We are, after all, a modified EURO auto e-zine, so when Andrew’s highly modified RX7 drove up, we were quite surprised. Not trying to show my age, this car was the car to have in the nineties. There was Nissan’s 300zx Twin Turbo, Toyota’s sequential Twin Turbo Supra , Acura’s VTEC NSX (which BTW was also on hand), Mitsubishi’s active aero clad 3000GT VR4, and Mazda’s sequential Twin Turbo Rotary RX7. These were the top dogs back in the day and still quite revered 20 years later.

Anyways, here are a few selected shots of the RX7 from Rezmoto’s first Holiday Cruz. Look to the next issue for full coverage.

USP Motorsports Porsche 996 Turbo standing mile at 202.7mph!!

usp_motorsports

Congratulations goes out to USP Motorsports for running a 202.7 standing mile at this past weekend’s MileMarker-1 event.

Claiming to be “the first and only to run over 200mph in the standing mile on a stock Porsche 996 motor” is very much a grand accomplishment.  I was standing just a few feet from the runway when the USP Porsche 911 Turbo flew by, literally. With a ‘feels like’ 102 degree heat (my car said it was 95 degrees but I beg to differ), it was a pretty amazing run considering the intercoolers were probably working overtime to supply enough cold air to get the horsepower to propel the 911 Turbo to over 200mph!! It was truly an exhilarating experience.

Good job USP…

Truly the ultimate driving machine… E30 M3 V10 period!

I’m a big sucker for old school, but this is just ridiculous. Taking an E60 M5 V10 and shoehorning it into the E30 M3 chassis is just the formula to make for an outrageously fast BMW.

To pull on the current E92 M3 like it was standing still is very much an accomplishment. I don’t care what anyone says, this M3 is the perfect sleeper.

ACHIEVED REZOLUTION
Wide-body Lotus Exige – Twin-Charged!

Not only is this lightweight turbocharged, it’s also supercharged.  Sporting a sexy wide-body kit, this Lotus is simply stunning.  I really like how the wing-lets on the front-end mimic the design of the vents on the hood. Meticulous attention went into how well the aero augments the lines of the original Exige.
