BMW Welt in Munich is now doing full restorations on cars such as their first customer’s 1972 3.0 CSi Coupe. BMW has seen very profitable gains from their used car section and has decided to do restorations and the re-manufacturing of old and hard to find parts. The restoration they did on the ’72 CSi was impressive considering that they also changed the transmission from manual to automatic. Let’s hope BMW will bring something like this stateside.
