G-Power BMW X6 M

(Source: G-Power)

It’s called the Typhoon S, G-Power’s newest take on the BMW X6 M. This beast has been bumped up by 170 hp to a grand total of 725 hp! The engine will take this giant red rocket to 60 in 4.2 seconds. That is not all G-Power did; They put a lot of work into exterior styling. Adding a more aggressive body kit gives it a strong look while at the same time reducing lift on the front end with increasing airflow. The Stock hood was thrown out and replaced with a lighter carbon fiber one. The X6 M was dropped 1.2 inches and placed on forged 3-piece G-Power Silverstone RS wheels. The backside of the BMW got a carbon fiber diffuser made specifically to fit G-Powers titanium exhaust system which is also made from carbon fiber. All of these parts are for sale individually or G-Power will make your very own Typhoon S to your specifications. From back to front this X 6M is another clean BMW from G-power.

Stuart Appleby’s M5 Ute

(Source: Southern Rod and Custom)

Golfer Stuart Appleby has turned his E39 M5 into quite the Ute. The Australian golfer decided to combine German engineering with Australian styling to create one sick ride. The custom build was done by Southern Rod in Australia. The shop massaged 460hp out of the engine before totally redoing the body. It took months to redesign the M5 because they worked to retain the car’s rigidity while being able to function like a proper Ute. This M5 Ute is by far the best conversion I have seen. The attention to detail is outstanding and looks like it could have come out of the factory. Seems like there has been a trend lately with this whole BMW pickup/Ute thing. Maybe Stuart Appleby’s M5 Ute will draw a bit of attention to the cause.

Audi R8 Hyper Black

(Source: Anderson Germany)

The euro-tuners Anderson Germany has added the Audi R8 Hyper Black to their collection. These guys are no stranger to the R8, tuning the V8 version and creating a race edition of the V10 last year. Now for 2011, the R8 Hyper Black has been revealed and can be described as a car with split personalities. Everything was done in moderation when it came to the engine and exterior. The engine just received a lighter and more open exhaust, new air filters, and a software chip that gives it 64 more horsepower and weighs 40 pounds less.

Styling was simple too, just a new pair of 19-inch rims painted to match the body and the Audi rings blacked out. Open the door and that clean look goes away faster than the car can hit 60. The “accent color” orange can be seen everywhere from the wheel and dash,  to all the stitching. Then someone got crazy with the carbon-fiber and suede. Every surface possible got covered with one of the two material. I don’t see this type of interior styling a bad thing, I just think it seems a bit out of place. The outside is so clean, no crazy body kit or bright orange wheels. So, no one expects such a funky interior. The Anderson Germany Audi R8 Hyper Black certainly does not fall into the disaster category, it just happens to have a bit of a split personality.

G-Power Breaks More Records

(Source: G-Power)

The German tuning house G-Power decided to break more records with their M5 Hurricane RS. This is their heavily tuned version of a BMW M5 Wagon. They took the record breaking 750 HP engine out of their M5 Hurricane RR and dropped it in the wagon. The Result is the world’s fastest estate (wagon). This beastly family car will hit 60 in 4.5 seconds and go all the way to 231 mph. This wagon is not for taking the kids to school. G-Power did not stop with a sick engine, they totally redid the interior in high grade leather with diamond stitching. The result is a class look that would have you think your in a Lamborghini or Pagani rather than a BMW. This M5 is beautiful inside and out and has the power to match. With a new M5 on the way some time next year I certainly hope G-Power continues to break more records.

Novitec Rosso Prepares Ferrari 458 Italia for Geneva

(Source: Novitec Rosso)

Novitec Rosso, the infamous German Ferrari tuner, will unleash their latest Ferrari 458 Italia based project during the 2011 Geneva Auto Show. The usual stage-I bolt-ons (carbon-fiber intake, light-weight exhaust, ECU remap) have been applied resulting in 609hp and 420ft.lbs. torque compared to the stock 562hp and 398ft.lbs.. That’s an increase of 47 additional ponies! That’s pretty good for a normally aspirated tune especially on a Ferrari. Not to leave aesthetics alone, Novitec Rosso employed some expensive wind tunnel time to tune the aero-dynamics of the already slippery 458 Italia. With new wheels, a lower center of gravity, and all the weight savings, Novitec Rosso engineers have managed to bump up top speed to 205mph. This video illustrates it all.

New BMW M3 GTS

(Source: TopGear)

BMW’s new M3 GTS is the best of the best when it comes to their 3-series line. As we mentioned before here, this limited production model will be boasting a 4.4-litre V8 producing 444hp compared to the 414hp from the regular M3. The GTS went on quite the diet weighing 419 pounds less than the base model. Add in adjustable suspension, rear wing,  roll cage, and front splitter and you have a street legal track car. Too bad they’re all sold out. But, one of the buyers has caught my eye. The German tuning company G-Power has  bought three to tinker with. You may know them for their M5 V10 Hurricane. It’s the world’s fastest street legal 4-door sedan, capable of hitting a top speed of 228 MPH. With that project under their belt I’m excited to see if G-Power reaches their goal of reaching 600hp with the M3 GTS.
