BMW’s M Garage

After last weeks sneak peak of Plant 0 we have another inside look at BMW’s M Garage. Many of the M concepts don’t make it out of the drawing room, but the ones that get stuck in limbo between paper and production are sent to a special underground garage. A collection of videos have surfaced on YouTube which showoff all these concepts in one place. Some of the notables are a M8 powered by a McLaren F1 V12 Engine, Ur-Roadster, and an E30 Pick-up. All the cars in BMW’s M Garage are pretty sick so let us know in the comments or on Facebook which one is your favorite.

Spied: Audi RS4 Avant

(Source: Autoblog)

Spied on everyone’s favorite Nurburgring, the Audi RS4 seems to be alive and kicking in the form of an Avant. Reports say this RS4 Avant will moslt likely be powered by the 4.2-liter V8 already in the RS5 putting out 450 horses, but there is a rumor that a 4.0 twin-turbo V8 is in the works for the wagon. Either way, I’m sure the car will be full of power.  Also, the wheels are strait from the RS5 but thats probably just for testing. This spied RS4 Avant is another awesome weapon in Audi’s arsenal to compete with the BMW M3 and the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG.

Lamborghini Aventador Spotted in Cali

(Source: YouTube)

The Lamborghini Aventador was the hottest car at Geneva and now it was spotted in the California desert shooting a commercial. Edmunds inside line has put up a video behind the scenes of the filming. Watching the Aventador  rip around the desert is impressive and I’m sure will look even better after its edited by Lamborghini’s crew. On top of a video, some guys over at Worldcarfans.com spotted the Lamborghini on a California highway. The picture shows a cop car in it too, which means its either part of the commercial, or someone got a little carried away. Be sure to check back here to see the full commercial when it comes out, but for now check out the pictures and video of the Lamborghini Aventador spotted in California.

BMW M3 Pickup?

(Source: Jalopnik)

We covered a guy who made a pickup out of his E46 BMW M3 a few months ago, but this one is legit. Well sort of. These spy shots come from the Nurburgring while other M-Models were being tested. Covered with camouflage this E90 BMW M3 pickup looks like the real deal. Could it be some crazy 2012 M3 pickup? That would be an amazing surprise for next year. But, it’s not going to happen. This sick little workhorse is a one-off design used by BMW to haul motorcycles and parts. Someone must have decided to take it out for a lap around the ring. I don’t blame him.  I just wish BMW would take this idea and make more M3 Pickups.

Spotted: BMW i8

BMW’s new ‘i’ line of environmentally friendly cars will be led by the i8 super car which has recently been spotted in Sweden. Although it’s covered in that weird vinyl wrap, the body shape still looks slick. What we know so far is that it’s going to be a plug-in hybrid with two separate electric motors, one powering each axle. The electric motors will  be accompanied by a 1.5-liter three-cylinder diesel engine which will put out a total of 328 hp. This plug-in is shockingly fast going from 0-60 in a little over 4 seconds, while at the same time getting around 75 miles per gallon. Although this video doesn’t show the lightning quick acceleration, it’s nice to see the BMW i8 spotted and running after seeing so many concept pictures in the past few years.

Pagani C9 Spotted

Pagani has long been a staple in the supercar business with the Pagani Zonda being immensely successful in impressing drivers all over the world. Rumors are that the Pagani C9 will be much closer to the 1000 horsepower mark than its sister the Zonda. I can not wait to see what it really looks like outside of that cladding, but more importantly what kind of power it’s putting to the road.
