This is for the Executives out there. The subtle design change is a refreshment to the aging A6 line. The previous Audi A6 Avant’s proportions were a bit whale looking in my opinion, but now that Audi’s current design guide has worked its way to the A6, the whale looks more like a Tiger Shark…

Looks like DTM is heating up for 2012. With the recent unveiling of BMW’s M3 DTM, Audi has decided to release their conquering Audi A4 DTM replacement with the new Audi A5 DTM (code name: R17).  It will be exciting to see if BMW can challenge the Audi’s which have dominated the series since 2004.

Love’em or hate’em pickup truck conversions are becoming more popular in the euro community. Now, the Audi Q7 has joined the ranks of cars hacked, slashed and welded back into an Americanized euro auto. While some call such a transformation blasphemy, I believe this Q7 pickup is an awesome project. I can’t imagine how daunting it must be to chop-up a $50,000 car, totally reshape it, and hope everything will be okay in the end. The guys responsible for this job should be proud. They produced a clean car that looks like it could be sitting in an Audi show room. Not to mention this means there is one less F-150 on the road. (Ed. LOL)

What’s better than being track-side during one of racing’s most enduring races besides being one of the drivers? Being able to watch the multitude of perspectives uploaded to ‘The Network’ covering the 24 Hours of Nurburgring. This is where the engineering of these mechanical wonders and the perseverance of the spirit of racing is put to the test. One lap around is over 15 miles and with an entry list of over 200 cars, there is definitely no shortage of action.

The specs on the latest generation Audi RS6 powertrain read more like a race car spec sheet than a 4-door passenger car options list. So what happens when you turn up the boost? The Evotech’s Audi C6 RS6 is what happens. Pretty impressive keeping up with Ferrari’s latest prancing horse.

With anticipation for our July issue (V3.2) mounting, we thought we would put up some teasers from the hills of Helen, Ga. (SoWo 2011).  We also want to highlight progress on our recently updated Project ZEROZERO1. We’re extremely happy with how the wrap turned out. So far, maintenance is incredibly easy; Just soap and water to clean and it looks just as it did the day after the wrap was complete.

Next up on the agenda? Since Project ZEROZERO1′s goal is to go as low as possible while still maintaining higher levels of handling, we are looking into KW coilovers with their HLS (Hydraulic Lift System). This will allow us to get over those pesky speed bumps we encounter every now and then and also be able to dial the handling in for those challenging mountain runs. We did consider air bags, but think the added weight and higher maintenance involved in running bags would steer away from our original goals.

The Audi R8 GT Spyder was unveiled a week ago, and now, a new exciting video shows off the sexy Spyder on and off the track. The interior is stunning; full of race-inspired and carbon fiber parts that create a timeless sporty look. The only thing that looks better is the R8 GT Spyder flying around the track topless.
