Remixed Rollers

So after Hellaflush Remix on July 30th at the Sun Life Stadium, we decided to go for a small drive down to the South Beach area for some food and drinks.  Needless to say, we took the opportunity to take some sick rollers since both cars were clean and looking good.  On a side note,  when I first saw the pictures of Marcela’s MKIV Jetta all I could think was how “wet” her car looked.  Probably had something to do with the wax it got the night before.

BMW M3 Pure Edition

The new BMW M3 has had plenty of special editions with limited production runs such as the Frozen Gray and Tiger Editions to name a few.  Now the Aussies will have an edition of their own called the Pure Edition.  Accented with Gloss Black 19″ wheels, grill and exhaust tips, it’s not that a dramatic change, but a nice subtle one.  This particular model is not color specific which is odd as it is available in mainly Alpine white and Jerez Black, but it can also be ordered in Le Mans Blue, Silverstone, Space Grey, Melbourne Red, Mineral White and Interlagos Blue.  Quite a lot of color options for a car they will only be making 50 of at a price of $135,000.

Blueprint: Austin’s F1 Track

Finally, race promoter Tavo Hellmund has revealed what the F1 track in Austin, Texas will look like.  Slated to have its first race in 2012, we can only hope that construction gets started in the next few months.  The 3.4 mile long track itself has 20 turns, 133 feet of elevation change and a 3/4 mile long straight where the F1 cars should be able to reach about 200 mph.  Many of the turns resemble other tracks from around the world such as Silverstone, Hockenheim, and even the multi apex turn at Istanbul’s track.  The track is shaping up to be a great track and we can only hope that it lives up to its name.  I am sure that I will be there to see the inaugural race, will you be?

TechArt Noselift System for Boxster and Cayman

TechArt, a leading tuner for Porsche, has released their Noselife System, commonly known as Nose Assist Coilovers for the Porsche Boxster and Cayman.  Everyone with a sports car, especially Porsches know all to well about the garage inclines and speed bumps that tear away at the front lips and under carriages of their prized cars.  What TechArt has done with their Noselift System, which is essentially a set of coilovers, is allow the front coils to be hydraulically raised up to 60mm to clear the pesky bumps and inclines around town.  Overall a great package and a necessity for any car lover that wants to lower their car with the ride of coils but be able to go up at the push of a button. Rezmoto Goes Cross Country with an Audi and Porsche

Two weeks ago, Erik aka Ruckus, Co-founder and Lead Photographer for Rezmoto (Rezolution Motoring), drove from South Florida to California in his dumped Audi A4 on BBS LM F1′s.  He didn’t raise the car but rather loaded it up with cargo carrier and bike rack included.  Good to see those roof racks going to good use.

Note to anyone driving from East to West that is chipped.  Turn it off if you can (Thanks APR ;) because you can’t get the 93 octane that you get out in the East. With high altitudes and 100 degree temperatures across the desserts, your car will throw a lovely C.E.L. If you can’t select the stock setting on your software, make sure to add an octane boost to prevent pre-detonation and avoid the lovely check engine light…

Kremer Samson Porsche 911 RSR

A Porsche is meant for the track. Period. This Porsche 911 RSR on the other hand is meant for the Gods. Check out how it handled the Nürburgring.

After Work…

After a long stressful day at the office, Ruckus and I decided, why not take out the camera gear and take some shots at the office garage.  The MK4 is the same VW featured in our V1.2 of the Magazine.  More to come from these cars.
